| Tales From a Magical Wedding: TCharm® Goes Bridal! |
When my friend, Jeff, proposed to another
friend, Randi, last year, he hadn’t planned
on the rainbow. But there it was, appearing
out of the rain-soaked sky just as he
prepared to kneel. She had no choice but
to accept on the spot. How could she refuse
such an invitation? Even mother nature
thought their marriage would be a good
idea!
Then came the planning. When? Where?
Would it be a big wedding, small wedding,
or something in between? Figuring they
were already on a roll, they decided that
July 7, 2007 (07-07-07) would be the
perfect date, and 7:00pm would be the
perfect time. Of course they held it in our
local town of Paso Robles, California.
My friends wanted everything to be perfect
and not leave anything to chance. Keeping
with the “lucky 7” theme, and wanting to
friend, Randi, last year, he hadn’t planned

incorporate their lucky rainbow, Randi and Jeff each picked 6 friends or family members as
maids and groomsmen, so that the total for each side numbered lucky 7.
I loved how they then incorporated the rainbow, which has 7 primary colors, by including all 7
colors in their flower arrangements. That’s when I came in. I was honored that Randi asked
me to create custom-designed jewelry for her and her bridesmaids. I wanted this to be extra
special, and not just because they’re friends. I knew that something very magical was going on
and I wanted to do my part in making sure that their luck continued!
So here’s what I did. Each girl received a TCharm® etched with the word LOVE, a faceted
mother of pearl stone, Swarovski® crystals, and pearls in sterling silver. Then, I included a
black satin cord, and attached to the clasp area two hearts that had the first initials of the bride
and groom. I added to this Swarovski® crystals and a pearl.
But this wasn’t enough. I wanted the bride and all her maids to have an easy way to remember
that love is something we all share, no matter what might be going on in our lives. So, I created
matching earrings, also with the LOVE inspiration. As a final flourish, I added a Swarovski®
crystal drop on the TCharm® for the bride and her maid of honor and created matching
earrings.
While I know that their honeymoon will one day end, I have no doubt that my friends will always
remember this day… and the magic of their love for each other.
